Borda Lobato Restaurant
Borda Lobato is a historic, iconic restaurant located in the Baqueira Beret ski resort, in the Catalan Pyrenees. My work, developed in close collaboration with the architects and interior designers, was key to creating a new concept for Borda Lobato. The challenge was to update the space and give it a distinctive atmosphere.

Topography and Typography
The landscape, its topography and the traditional architecture of the place inspired me to define an identity concept that would embrace and emphasize the authentic character of the restaurant.
The visual identity blends organic, traditional elements with modern ones. A topographic map serves as a vibrant textured background across all communication materials, paired with a robust primary typeface, a sans serif set in capitals, and a secondary typeface with rustic, historic overtones.
More Than Just Color
I started by exploring the evocative materials the borda (a traditional Pyrenean stone barn) is built from. The interplay of textures and colors led to a palette where slate grey, the dark tones of the stone, the ochres of the wood and the texture of copper coexist. Finally, I introduced gold as the unifying thread.
Together with a sophisticated take on rural luxury, these elements allowed me to create an identity that captures the gastronomic essence of Borda Lobato.
