Javier Mascherano R10 Packaging

This special edition represents a high-profile collaboration within my long-term creative partnership with Roundten Eyewear, co-creating a limited-capacity capsule collection alongside international football icon Javier Mascherano. The objective was to design an exclusive three-piece eyewear collection and custom packaging narrative that translates the athlete’s distinct personal legacy while strengthening the technical and architectural core of the Roundten identity.

Strategic Leadership and Athlete Co-Creation

Leading the project from its inception, my role involved managing multidisciplinary teams across industrial prototyping, manufacturing, and brand strategy. Driving a premium project of this scale required comprehensive creative direction and seamless cross-team coordination. From initial conceptual drafting to final product engineering, I worked closely with Javier Mascherano to ensure his vision was authentically mirrored in the product’s DNA. Directing diverse design, material sourcing, and production teams allowed us to execute an uncompromising workflow, delivering a meticulously crafted product that meets the highest standards of international luxury positioning.

Bespoke Customization Within Brand Heritage

The packaging system for the ‘Masche Signature’ line is an exercise in brand evolution. While preserving the iconic, monolithic totem structure that defines Roundten’s heritage, the pack introduces highly tailored elements to mark its limited-edition status. The absolute matte black textured card stock features a sharp, custom metallic bronze hot stamping and a bespoke editorial typeface for ‘M4SCHE Signature’. This achieves a sophisticated, collectible aesthetic that personalizes the user experience without diluting the established architectural codes of the parent brand.

“Collaborating with Javier Mascherano for Roundten was a masterclass in balancing individual character with strict corporate identity. The challenge wasn’t just to put a name on a box, but to lead multiple teams toward a unified object that feels both industrial and deeply personal. By introducing warm metallic bronze accents and sharp typographic interventions into our signature minimalist totem, we proved that a strong design system can adapt, evolve, and elevate its narrative without losing its soul.”
